ABOUT ME
Game Design
I’m a generalist game designer who has fortunately had a long game industry career. Over the past 14 years, I’ve been able to work on a wide variety of game types, platforms, engines, and technologies - AAA block busters, mobile games, social games,VR games & even board games. I even started my own indie studio and self-published a game on PC.
I am more experienced and super happy to work on Combat and AI Design out of them all, but I enjoy doing Systems and 3Cs as well.
While I’ve been focused on game design for over a decade, I’ve had many roles over the years that have helped me learn a great deal about making games.
Why is all of this important?
As a generalist, I’m quick to learn, adapt, and leverage all of that experience to mold whatever we are making into something fantastic. My varied experiences also help me see the bigger picture, see how things can be put together, and often anticipate roadblocks before we hit them so we can course correct in time.
This wide variety of skills and experiences also help make me a better leader and mentor. I’ve been a discipline lead as well as a game director multiple times and received great feedback from my peers. I’ve also mentored other designers and helped guide several to fulfilling career goals. As a leader, I strive to be empathetic and serve those I lead to help us all achieve greatness.
I love learning new things, growing, and pouring my passion into making games and hope to keep doing it for many years to come.
Outside of making games, I love playing them and play a lot of games, cooking, playing with my son, spending time with family and climbing!
